My Story
Jane Forte’s paintings are a celebration of the feminine spirit, a meditation on the beauty, fragility & a richness of mother nature’s ephemeral blooms.
Captivated by the exquisite beauty of every bloom – their delicacy & transience, the life force in the unfurling petals, and the subtle depths of colour hidden in the folds and shadows.
A colour and design professional, Jane studied at Adelaide Central School of Art and was lucky to have attended Louise Feneley’s atelier.
My Intention
My intention is to share with the viewer the joy and delight I find in each sumptuous bloom, and to express my vision & awe at the wonderous beauty of nature.
Inspired by memories of hours spent in my grandmothers rambling garden, and home overflowing with vases of blooms, which have made an indelible impression on my psyche and now find their way onto my canvases.
